I love making this hat! The fair isle style rows combined with the squishable pumpkin stitches is a dream combo. It’s available is all sizes baby to adult. The perfect hat to wear for a pumpkin-picking photo shoot.
The hat is make top-down, and uses weight 3/dk yarn. The beautiful pumpkin stitch is my own invention, and uses puff stitches with a mosaic crochet technique.
To make your own lovely pumpkin hat, you’ll need a 3.5mm or 4mm hook, and about 120-180m of yarn.
