A beautiful and unique crochet hat featuring the star stitch. Available in sizes baby to adult.
The hat is worked in one piece sideways, with the ribbing attached as you go, and then the piece is seamed together along one seam. The shaping of the hat is achieved by working short rows, which means you get a snug fit without fabric bunched up on top of the head.
To make your own you’ll need:
A 6.5mm crochet hook, and weight 4/aran/worsted yarn. You’ll need 80-155 m or 88-161yd.
Suggested yarn: Scheepjes River Washed XL or Stone Washed XL. The two-tone effect really makes the stars stand out! I would suggest using a yarn that has at least a bit of stretch.
